John Barnes states his prediction for West Brom v Man United
John Barnes looks ahead to Manchester United's trip to West Brom in the Premier League on Sunday
John Barnes is backing Manchester United to continue their recent upturn in form by beating West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at The Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils have won their last four games in all competitions to ease the pressure on manager Louis van Gaal heading into the final 10 matches of the season.
United continued their winning streak as they beat Watford 1-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night thanks to Juan Mata’s free-kick.
That win moved Van Gaal’s men up to fifth place in the table and level on points with fourth-placed Manchester City, although Manuel Pellegrini’s men do have a game in hand on their bitter local rivals.
And former England and Liverpool star Barnes is expecting to see United continue their improved form at The Hawthorns this weekend.
Writing in his blog for Titanbet, Barnes said: “West Brom are now safe after their win over Crystal Palace last week, and Manchester United are on a good run of form after their defeats to Midtjylland and Sunderland.
“They have now won four in a row in all competitions, and I expect them to make that five on Sunday.”
