Thierry Henry states prediction for West Ham v Tottenham
Thierry Henry previews Tottenham Hotspur's clash against West Ham on Wednesday night
Thierry Henry says Tottenham Hotspur’s game against West Ham United is vital in the Premier League title race.
The Lilywhites make the journey across London on Wednesday night as Spurs look to continue their recent fine form.
Mauricio Pochettino watched his Spurs side come from a goal down to beat Swansea City 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at White Hart Lane as they secured victory to move three points clear of bitter local rivals Arsenal in the table.
Spurs are currently two points behind leaders Leicester City heading into the final 11 games of the season.
Former Arsenal striker Henry believes Spurs will be in a commanding position heading into Saturday’s north London derby if Pochettino’s side beat West Ham on Wednesday night.
“The West Ham game is vital for them,” Henry told Sky Sports.
“If they win it, suddenly, regardless of what Leicester is doing because they can’t control that, they can have Arsenal coming to you and you can have three points ahead [regardless of the result].”
Tottenham have won their last six Premier League games ahead of Wednesday night’s London derby.
