Chris Sutton predicts where Arsenal will finish this season

Chris Sutton says Arsenal are as flaky as ever after missing the chance to win their first Premier League title since 2004.

The Gunners are in third place in the Premier League table and 11 points behind leaders Leicester City after winning just one of their last-four top-flight games.

The north London side were 3-0 winners against Everton at Goodison Park in their most-recent Premier League game before the international break.

Arsenal exited the Champions League and the FA Cup in March, while the Gunners lost to Swansea City and drew Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Speaking to BBC Sport ahead of the weekend’s Premier League games, former Chelsea striker was critical of Arsenal’s performance in the Premier League this season.

“Arsenal are not out of it yet but I cannot see them finishing higher than third,” Sutton told BBC Sport.

“They have missed a massive opportunity to end their 12-year wait for the title and it is down to the same old frailties – they are arguably the best team to watch in the division on their day, but they are as flaky as ever.

“Sometimes you need a different voice. Arsene Wenger said this week he has no plans to stand down as Gunners boss but he has too much power if he can decide when he does go, and I don’t think it is right.”

Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2004 when Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira helped to inspire the Gunners to title glory without losing a top-flight game.
