Eden Hazard’s comments will worry Tottenham fans ahead of Chelsea trip

Eden Hazard is determined to help Chelsea beat Tottenham and dent their title hopes...

Eden Hazard has told his Chelsea team-mates that they must do everything in their power to prevent Tottenham from winning the Premier League title this season.

The north London side are currently second in the Premier League table as they bid to catch leaders Leicester City before the season is out.

Hazard played a key role in helping Chelsea return to winning ways with an impressive 4-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday as he netted his first two Premier League goals of the season.

Next up for the defending champions is a home clash against title-chasing Spurs on Monday 2 May at Stamford Bridge.

And Hazard has stated his desire for Chelsea to beat Tottenham and hand Leicester a boost in the race for the Premier League title.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website after Saturday’s win over Bournemouth, Hazard said: “We don’t want Tottenham to win the Premier League – the fans, the club and the players.

“In football you never know, we hope for Leicester because they deserve to be champions but we will see.

“We have a big game next week against Tottenham and if we can beat them it will be good.”
