Jose Mourinho has drawn up a shortlist of four players to sign for Manchester United this summer if he is appointed as the club’s new manager at the end of the season.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a number of players in recent weeks as they look to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season.

Mourinho has been hotly tipped as the leading candidate to take over at Old Trafford should Louis van Gaal leave the club at the end of the season.

And ESPN FC reports that the Portuguese coach has drawn up a four-man shortlist of the players he would like to bring to Old Trafford should he be appointed.

The report says that Harry Kane and John Stones are top of his wishlist, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic also a possible summer signing for the Red Devils.

United are also said to be confident of securing the signature of Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches this summer.
