Aaron Ramsey makes claim about Arsenal and Premier League title

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey says Arsene Wenger's squad will be better next season

Aaron Ramsey believes Arsenal will be a stronger side next season after the disappointment of missing out on the Premier League title this term.

The Gunners saw their title challenge fade away in the second half of the season despite leading the division on Boxing Day before a 4-0 loss at Southampton.

Arsenal are 13 points behind newly-crowned Premier League champions Leicester City despite beating the Foxes home and away this season.

Wales international Ramsey believes Arsene Wenger’s players will be better for the experience of squandering their chance to end a 12-year wait for the Premier League title next season.

“It definitely does feel like an opportunity missed, but I’m quite confident that this will make us stronger for next season,” Ramsey told ESPN.

“Obviously Leicester have surprised many people. Everybody had written them off and said they would drop points at certain times but they never did and full credit to them. They went on to win the league.”

Arsenal lost their first FA Cup game in three years after a shoch 2-1 home defeat by London rivals Watford at the Emirates Stadium earlier this season.
