Aaron Ramsey makes honest admission about Tottenham ahead of Arsenal showdown

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey comments on Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League season

Aaron Ramsey has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur have impressed the Arsenal midfielder in the Premier League this season.

The Lilywhites missed out on the Premier League title after a 2-2 draw with Chelsea earlier this month handed the crown to Leicester City.

However, Spurs can take solace from the prospect of finishing above their bitter north London rivals Arsenal for the first time in Premier League history.

The Gunners are in third place and two points behind Mauricio Pochettino’s side ahead of the final day of the Premier League season.

Arsene Wenger’s side can still hoist themselves above Spurs if the Gunners beat Aston Villa and Newcastle United manage to beat Tottenham at St James’s Park.

While Ramsey praised Tottenham for an impressive Premier League campaign, the Wales international is hoping the Magpies can do Arsenal a favour this weekend.

“Obviously it’s not nice seeing them above us but I have to say they’ve done well this season as well,” Ramsey told ESPN.

“But it’s not over yet, we have one game left and hopefully Newcastle can do us a favour there and we finish the job off at home.

“It’s in their hands but hopefully we’ll have a bit of luck.”
