Anthony Martial’s warning ahead of next season with Man United

Anthony Martial is expecting to enjoy a better season for Manchester United next term

Anthony Martial has warned Manchester United’s opponents that he will be even better next season.

The Manchester United striker enjoyed a positive first campaign in England after arriving at Old Trafford as a relatively unknown talent in the summer transfer window.

Martial scored 11 goals and made four assists in the Premier League for the Red Devils but was unable to help guide them to a top-four finish.

The French forward has earned plenty of new admirers since his arrival in England.

However, the 20-year-old former Monaco striker believes that he is on course to enjoy an even more successful season next term.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph ahead of the FA Cup final, Martial said: “I think it’s gone OK.

“But I’m hoping to have a better season next time around. I still feel deep down I could have done better.”

United ended up having to settle for a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League after they were pipped to fourth place by Manchester City.
