Arsenal desperate to sign £51m Spain forward – report
Arsenal are ready to offer £51m for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, according to Corriere dello Sport
Arsenal have made a £51m offer for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the Spanish striker since Danny Welbeck was ruled out for nine months due to a serious knee injury.
Morata has been linked with a return to his former club Real Madrid, while Chelsea and Manchester United are also thought to be rivalling Arsenal’s interest.
Arsene Wenger revealed that he has been given free rein to spend as he wishes in the summer transfer window if the Gunners manager can identify suitable targets.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal have put together a huge £51m offer for Morata, which would make the Juventus striker their club-record signing.
Morata scored 10 goals and made 11 assists in Juventus’s title-winning season to win back-to-back Serie A crowns following his move to Turin in 2014.
