Arsenal are weighing up a bid for Sporting Lisbon forward Islam Slimani this summer, say reports

Arsenal are among the clubs weighing up a summer transfer bid for Sporting Lisbon star Islam Slimani, according to reports.

The Gunners are believed to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this summer as Arsene Wenger looks to build a team capable of winning the Premier League title next season.

The Algeria striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester all touted as possible destinations for the 27-year-old.

Now, the Daily Mirror is reporting that Arsenal are considering making a bid for the forward as Wenger looks to bolster his squad.

The same report goes on to say that any potential suitors will have to pay €30m (£23.25m) to secure his signature this summer.
