Arsenal are set to revive their interest in signing Argentina youngster Maxi Romero this summer, according to reports.

Arsene Wenger is believed to be on the lookout for a host of reinforcements as he looks to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season.

Arsenal are understood to have agreed a deal to sign the Velez Sarsfield striker last year before the 17-year-old suffered a knee ligament injury.

Now, the Daily Mirror is reporting that Arsenal are ready to reignite their interest in signing the youngster this summer – as long as he can prove his fitness.

Arsenal are also believed to be close to concluding the signing of Granit Xhaka after the Swiss midfielder was pictured at the north London club’s training ground last week.
