Arsenal set to rival West Ham for £10m France midfielder – report

Arsenal are ready to sign Moussa Sissoko in a £10m deal from Newcastle, according to Daily Mirror

Arsenal are set to rival West Ham for the signature of Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to Daily Mirror.

The Gunners are looking to bolster their midfield options in the summer transfer window after a disappointing Premier League campaign.

Arsene Wenger has been previously linked with a swoop for Sissoko over the past 24 months as the midfielder produced some eye-catching performances.

According to the Daily Mirror, Wenger want to sign Sissoko in addition to Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka following the departures of Tomas Rosicky, Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta.

However, West Ham are reportedly keen to sign the 26-year-old French midfielder in the summer transfer window following an excellent campaign under Slaven Bilic.

Sissoko scored one goal and made seven assists in 37 Premier League games for relegated Newcastle this season.
