Arsenal transfer blow as Barcelona target highly-rated defender – report

Barcelona target Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin as a replacement for Dani Alves, according to the Daily Mail

Barcelona will target Hector Bellerin to replace Juventus-bound Dani Alves this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old was one of the big plus points to emerge from Arsenal’s Premier League season after Bellerin firmly establishe himself as their first-choice right-back.

Bellerin scored one goal and made five assists in 35 Premier League appearances for Arsene Wenger’s side this term, earning a place in the PFA team of the year.

The Spain Under-21 international moved to the north London side from Barcelona in 2011 as part of the deal which saw Cesc Fabregas return to the Catalan side.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Barcelona are keen to sign Bellerin as a replacement for Alves ahead of the Brazilian’s anticipated move to Serie A champions Juventus.
