Paul Merson predicts outcome of Arsenal v Aston Villa

Paul Merson backs Arsenal to beat Aston Villa 4-0 on Sunday

Paul Merson is tipping Arsenal to rout Aston Villa in their final Premier League game of the season at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

The north Londoners have endured a disappointing Premier League season after struggling to keep pace with Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the title race.

Arsenal are currently 13 points behind the Premier League champions ahead of the visit of relegated Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Arsene Wenger’s side can still finish above Tottenham and into second place if their north London rivals should suffer a setback at Newcastle United.

Former Arsenal playmaker Merson believes Wenger’s Gunners side will have too much for relegated Villa in the final home game of a disappointing Premier League campaign.

Asked for his prediction on Fantasy FC podcast, Merson said: “4-0.”

Arsenal made premature exits in the Champions League and the FA Cup this season to finish without any silverware.
