Arsenal win race to sign £20m midfielder ahead of PSG – report

N'Golo Kane is set to join Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to EuroSport

Arsenal have reportedly won the race to sign Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante this summer, according to EuroSport.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with the France international in recent weeks as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his midfield options following the departures of Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky.

Kante was named the Leicester players’s player of the year after a breath-taking first season in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old scored one goal and made four assists in 37 Premier League appearances for the newly-crowned champions, attracting interest from some of the Premier League’s big boys and Europe’s top clubs.

According to EuroSport, Kante was opted to join Wenger’s Arsenal side ahead of interest from Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain.

Leicester signed Kante in a £5m deal from Caen last summer ahead of an incredible 2015/16 Premier League season for the Foxes.
