Arsene Wenger: Where this Arsenal striker will be next season

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Theo Walcott will still be at The Emirates next season

Arsene Wenger says Theo Walcott will still be an Arsenal player next season despite speculation linking the Arsenal striker with a move to West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

The Arsenal forward has been out-of-favour under Arsene Wenger in the second half of the season after struggling to find any sort of form in the Premier League and the Champions League.

The 27-year-old has emerged as a surprise target for top-six side West Ham in recent weeks as Slaven Bilic looks to build on a positive first season in charge at the east London side.

However, Arsenal manager Wenger poured cold water on talk of the England international making the switch accross London to West Ham – or any other Premier League club.

“I think he will be here,” Wenger told his pre-match media conference on Friday ahead of the visit of Aston Villa this weekend.

Walcott has scored five goals and has made four assists in 31 Premier League games for the north London side this term, although he has only started 15 times.
