Chelsea keen to make £8m defender Antonio Conte’s first signing – report
Chelsea have reportedly been told they could sign defender Emanuel Mammana from River Plate for as little as £8m
Chelsea have been told they could sign defender Emanuel Mammana from River Plate for as little as £8m this summer, according to reports.
The Blues are widely expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as they bid to bounce back from their disastrous season.
Incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is already believed to be on the lookout for new signings as he looks to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League next season.
Chelsea are said to be keen on bringing the 20-year-old River Plate defender to Stamford Bridge to add to their defensive options in west London.
Now, Goal is reporting that the defender could join Chelsea in a deal worth £8m, but that the Premier League side face competition from Italian sides Inter Milan and Fiorentina in the race for his signature.
The same report says that the player has a release clause of around £11m in his contract but River Plate will accept less to sell him this summer.
