Chelsea open talks over double summer transfer swoop – report
Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Everton to sign Romelu Lukaku and John Stones in the summer transfer window
Chelsea have opened talks with Everton about the possibility of signing Romelu Lukaku and John Stones this summer, according to reports.
The Blues are expected to be one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the forthcoming summer transfer window as they bid to bounce back from a hugely disappointing campaign.
Antonio Conte is in line to take over at Stamford Bridge after this summer’s European championships in France but it appears that Chelsea are already looking to conclude some of their transfer business as soon as possible.
Now, Belgian outlet HLN is reporting that Chelsea have opened talks with Everton about the possibility of signing striker Lukaku and defender Stones this summer.
Chelsea were heavily linked with a move to sign Stones last summer under Jose Mourinho but a move eventually failed to materialise.
Lukaku, meanwhile, was sold to the Merseyside outfit by Chelsea and is now reported to command a transfer fee of around £45m.
