Chelsea planning bid to sign £19.3m Napoli star – report

Chelsea are interested in signing Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, say reports

Chelsea are interested in signing Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, according to reports.

The Blues are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as they bid to bounce back from their hugely disappointing season.

Incoming manager Antonio Conte is understood to have already drawn up a list of transfer targets as he prepares to take over at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Now, Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that the Blues are keen on making a transfer bid for Koulibaly as they look to bolster their defensive line ahead of next season.

The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the most consistent defenders in Serie A – and Chelsea are now planning a bid which could be worth as much as £19.3m.
