Chelsea receive boost as £29m Bosnia midfielder nears Roma exit – report

Miralem Pjanic is free to move to club outside of Italy amid interest from Chelsea, say reports

Roma are resigned to losing Miralem Pjanic as long as the midfielder moves abroad rather than join Juventus this summer, according to reports in Italy.

The Bosnia international was one of Luciano Spaletti’s most-impressive players in Roma’s Serie A season as the capital’s side finished in third place.

Unsurprisingly, Pjanic’s eye-catching performances have resulted in speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Liverpool thought to be heading English interest.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are desperate to avoid Pjanic moving to their bitter rivals Juventus and the Rome outfit are open to the Bosnian completed a £29m switch to a club outside of Italy.

The Chelsea and Liverpool target scored 10 goals and made 12 assists in 33 Serie A appaerances for Roma in the 2015/16 season.
