John Barnes believes Chelsea will end a disappointing season on a positive note with a 2-0 victory over champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday.

Guus Hiddink’s side were impressive against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night as Eden Hazard scored a brilliant first-half goal to edge the Blues towards three rare points on the road.

However, Asmir Begovic misjudged Sheyi Ojo’s cross and Liverpool substitute Christian Benteke was on hand to rescue a point for the hosts in a 1-1 draw on Merseyside.

Leicester, meanwhile, have been celebrating their Premier League title success since a 3-1 victory over Everton at King Power Stadium last weekend.

And former Liverpool midfielder Barnes believes Chelsea will capitalise on a Leicester side who are in celebration mode in the final game of the season at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

“Leicester’s job is done and I think they’ll be playing this one a bit like an exhibition game. Granted, Chelsea don’t have anything to play for either, but I think they have more quality,” Barnes told Titan Bet.

Chelsea are in ninth place in the Premier League table.
