Cristiano Ronaldo addresses Man United transfer talk ahead of Jose Mourinho arrival
Cristiano Ronaldo has no intention of leaving Real Madrid this summer
Cristiano Ronaldo has emphatically ruled out a return to Manchester United, despite Jose Mourinho being set to take over at Old Trafford.
Mourinho is expected to take charge at United following days of speculation following the sacking of Louis van Gaal on Monday.
The Portuguese coach is likely to want to quickly get down to business following his appointment and look to bring in the players he feel can help United challenge for the title next season.
Ronaldo has long been linked with a return to United ever since his move away from Old Trafford in the summer of 2009.
However, the former Manchester United star has move to quash suggestions that he could join the Red Devils this summer, while also ruling out a move to any other club.
Ronaldo is quoted as saying by The Sun: “Right now yes I am happy and I want to stay at this club.
“I don’t see any other club that is better than Real Madrid. If you weigh things up there is no better club.
“So all other clubs can forget about me because Real Madrid is the best.”
United finished fifth and won the FA Cup before Van Gaal’s sacking on Monday.
