Former Chile star reveals whether Alexis Sanchez is happy at Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez is perfectly happy at Arsenal, says former Chile international

Alexis Sanchez is perfectly happy at Arsenal, according to former Chile international Ivan Zamorano.

The Chile international’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks after the Gunners ended the campaign without a trophy.

Sanchez joined Arsenal from Barcelona in the summer of 2014 and helped Arsene Wenger’s men win the FA Cup in his first season at the north London club.

The north London side had challenged for the Premier League title for much of the campaign, but fell off the pace after the turn of the year and eventually watched Leicester City lift the trophy earlier this month.

There have been suggestions that Sanchez – who has been one of the north London side’s star performers – had become frustrated by Arsenal’s inability to sustain a Premier League title challenge.

But former Real Madrid man Zamorano insists that the 27-year-old is happy to stay at The Emirates beyond the summer.

Zamorano told Omnisport: “I think that Alexis is recovering his happiness. He looks like a happy guy at Arsenal.

“Wenger has squeezed him and he has taken the best of Alexis. This is very important, because when he comes on the pitch motivated, he make the difference.

“He is the best Arsenal player and one of the best forwards in the Premier League. That means that he is working really well.”
