Gary Lineker trolls Arsenal on Twitter after Man United appoint Jose Mourinho

Gary Lineker has his say after Manchester United appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager

Gary Lineker has taken to social media to aim a thinly-veiled dig at Arsene Wenger after Manchester United appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager on Friday.

The Portuguese coach finally put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Red Devils after being heavily linked with the job for the last few days.

Mourinho joins United after having been sacked by Chelsea back in December following the west London club’s disastrous start to the season.

Mourinho’s arrival at Old Trafford marks another major managerial shift for next season, with Antonio Conte set to take over at Chelsea and Pep Guardiola to take charge at Manchester City.

And former England international could not help but aim a thinly-veiled dig at Wenger.

Wenger, who has been in charge at Arsenal since 1996, failed to guide his side to a trophy last season as they ended up second in the Premier League table.
