Arsenal are set to pay £30m to sign Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach this summer as the Gunners move closer towards completing their first summer signing, according to reports.

The north London club have been strongly linked with a move for the Switzerland international in recent days and the speculation has intensified since he was pictured at the club’s training ground last week.

Now, Sky Sports News HQ is reporting that Arsenal are set to have to shell out a transfer fee of £30m to sign the player.

The same story goes on to report that Xhaka has already completed the first part of his medical and agreed personal terms with the north London club.

He will then complete the second part of the process when he joins up with Switzerland’s national team ahead of Euro 2016.

Arsenal are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as they look to improve on their second-placed finish this season.
