Harry Kane reacts on Twitter to Tottenham’s 5-1 loss at Newcastle

Harry Kane reminds Tottenham Hotspur supporters that Spurs still have Champions League football to look forward to

Harry Kane urged Tottenham Hotspur supporters to stay positive and proud after Sunday’s 5-1 defeat by Newcastle United at St James’s Park.

The Lilywhites needed just a point to finish above north London rivals Arsenal in the table for the first time in Premier League history.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side were soundly beaten 5-1 by the Magpies at St James’s Park as Arsenal were 4-0 winners against Aston Villa.

The Gunners hoisted themselves above Spurs and into second place courtesy of their landslide victory on the final day of the season.

But England striker Kane attempted to put a positive spin on the result after the disappointment of finishing third behind Arsenal.

Tottenham ended the season on a three-game winless run in the Premier League.

Spurs drew 2-2 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier this month to hand the top-flight crown to Leicester City.
