Jamie Carragher reacts on Twitter after Man United sack Louis van Gaal

Jamie Carragher reveals what he will miss about sacked Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal

Jamie Carragher joked that he will miss Louis van Gaal’s media conferences after Manchester United sacked the Dutchman on Monday afternoon.

The 64-year-old was widely tipped to leave the Red Devils at the end of the season despite leading United to their first piece of silverware since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

Jesse Lingard’s extra-time winner at Wembley sealed a 2-1 comeback victory over Crystal Palace and provided some consolation for a fifth-place finish in the Premier League table.

Former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has been linked with Van Gaal’s job since the 53-year-old was sacked by Chelsea in December following a disastrous start to the defence of the Premier League crown.

While Mourinho’s anticipated appointment at Old Trafford should provide plenty of entertainment for Carragher next season, the Liverpool legend admitted that he will miss Van Gaal’s quirky media personality.
