Jamie Redknapp: This is Louis van Gaal’s biggest Man United problem

Jamie Redknapp reveals Louis van Gaal's biggest problem at Manchester United

Jamie Redknapp says Louis van Gaal’s biggest problem is that his media conferences are more entertaining than Manchester United’s performances.

The Red Devils ended the Premier League campaign with a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford and Ashley Young.

United’s comfortable victory wasn’t enough to secure a top-four spot as Manchester City finished above their derby rivals on goal difference and secured their Champions League spot.

Former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Redknapp believes United manager Van Gaal is in a precarious position after finishing outside the top-four places in the Premier League table.

“His press conference has been more exciting than the games. That’s his biggest problems. MUFC will be disappointed with the season. To not be in the top four,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

United can still end the season on a high if Van Gaal’s side beat Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace outfit in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils haven’t won any silverware since Sir Alex Ferguson won his 13th Premier League title before standing down in May 2013.
