Jose Mourinho wants to hit the ground running in the summer transfer window with Manchester United, say reports

Jose Mourinho is keen to hit the ground running at Manchester United by announcing the signing of a star striker this week, according to reports.

Mourinho was appointed as United’s new manager on a three-year contract on Friday after days of speculation linking him with the job.

Attentions have now inevitably turned towards the summer transfer window and Mourinho’s plans to strengthen his squad before his first full season in charge.

Now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Mourinho has targeted Karim Benzema, Saul Niguez and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with a view to pushing through a major transfer this week.

The same story says that striker Marcus Rashford has signed a new contract with the Red Devils after his breakthrough season under Louis van Gaal.
