Jose Mourinho wants Chelsea star as first Man United transfer signing – report

Jose Mourinho is plotting a transfer swoop for Nemanja Matic as his first Manchester United signing, say reports

Jose Mourinho is eyeing up a transfer swoop for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic as he prepares Manchester United’s summer transfer business, according to reports.

The Portuguese coach is believed to be set to be handed £200m by the Red Devils to spend in the summer transfer window as he is tasked with reversing United’s ailing fortunes.

Louis van Gaal was sacked as the Red Devils’ manager on Monday after months of speculation about his future and with United having finished fifth in the Premier League.

Attentions will now turn to Mourinho’s plans for the summer transfer window as he looks to stamp his authority at Old Trafford.

Now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Mourinho is keen to bring Matic with him to Old Trafford, and is also looking to make a move for Everton defender John Stones.
