Juventus look to sign Arsenal super star in £15m deal – report

Juventus want to sign Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, according to reports in Italy

Juventus are thought to be ready to test Arsenal’s resolve with an offer for Mesut Ozil, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 27-year-old still hasn’t signed a new contract with the Gunners despite having a brilliant season for the north London side after a return of six goals and 18 assists.

Juventus want to strengthen their title-winning squad after Massimiliano Allegri’s men won a fifth successive Serie A crown this season despite disappointment in the Champions League.

Ozil finished the season without a winner’s medal after Arsenal’s Premier League title bid faded away and the Gunners made premature exits in the Champions League and the FA Cup.

According to Gazetta dello Sport, Juventus are ready to make a £15m offer for the Germany international in the summer transfer window, with Ozil having just over a year remaining on his current Arsenal contract.

The World Cup winner moved to Arsenal in a club-record £42.5m deal from Real Madrid in 2013.
