Lee Dixon makes bold claim about Man United and Louis van Gaal

Lee Dixon believes Louis van Gaal could still save his Man United job

Lee Dixon believes Louis van Gaal could still survive as Manchester United manager if the Red Devils secure an unlikely fourth-place finish.

The 20-time English champions wasted the opportunity to hoist themselves above Manchester City in the race to secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

The Red Devils were leading 2-1 in the second half in the last-ever game at Upton Park before Winston Reid and Michail Antonio secured three points for the Hammers in a 3-2 win.

Van Gaal’s side will host Bournemouth in their final game of the Premier League season, while the Citizens make the trip to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Former Arsenal defender Dixon reckons Van Gaal still has a fighting chance of salvaging his United future amid reports Jose Mourinho will take over.
