Lee Dixon makes brave claim about Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham

Lee Dixon runs the rule over Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino

Lee Dixon says Tottenham Hotspur have been the best balanced side in the Premier League this season.

The Lilywhites were Premier League title contenders until last week when Tottenham squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

They’re probably the most balanced side in the Premier League

However, Pochettino’s side are still on course to finish above bitter derby rivals Arsenal for the first time in Premier League history despite a 2-1 defeat by Southampton last time out.

Former Arsenal defender Dixon, who openly admitted that Spurs have been the best team to watch in this season’s Premier League, lavished praise on Tottenham manager Pochettino.

“Mauricio Pochettino has done a fabulous job this season,” Dixon told Facebook Football Awards.

“They are very well organised. He has built a team from youth, which is very brave. They’re probably the most balanced side in the Premier League. He is tactically aware.

“Putting Eric Dier as a defensive midfielder was a genius stroke. His team play with a verve and energy which typifies the manager.”

Tottenham are in second place in the Premier League table and two points ahead of Arsenal ahead of the final day of the season.
