Liverpool will sign Empoli midfielder Piotr Zielinksi in a £9.4m deal from Udinese on Wednesday, according to reports in Poland

Liverpool have agreed a £9.4m deal for Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinksi, according to reports in Poland.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Reds after impressing during a season-long loan at Serie A side Empoli, scoring five goals and making six assists in 35 Premier League appearances.

Zielinksi has already established himself as a regular in the Poland national team ahead of this summer’s European championship in France.

According to Canal Plus in his home country, the Polish midfielder is set to complete a move to Liverpool on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Europa League final.

Zielinski has also previously spoken of his interest in a potential summer switch to Anfield after two seasons on loan at Empoli.
