Liverpool transfer update: £20m Germany forward asks about Anfield life – report

Liverpool are willing to do whatever it takes to sign Mario Gotze this summer, according to the Daily Express

Mario Gotze has been asking about life in Liverpool ahead of a potential move to Anfield from Bayern Munich, according to the Daily Express.

The World Cup winner has endured a forgettable season at Bayern after failing to secure a regular starting spot under departing manager Pep Guardiola.

Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that incoming head coach Carlo Ancelotti had given Gotze permission to speak to other clubs after deeming the 23-year-old surplus to requirements.

The Bayern forward rose to prominence under current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp during the 48-year-old’s spell in charge of Borussia Dortmund.

According to the Daily Express, Liverpool are ready to do whatever it takes to land the out-of-favour Bayern playmaker in the summer transfer window.

In addition, the Daily Express are reporting that Gotze has made “descreet inquiries” into what life on Merseyside would be like.
