Liverpool make £11.9m transfer bid to sign midfielder – report

Liverpool have reportedly tabled an £11.9m bid to sign Piotr Zielinski from Udinese

Liverpool have reportedly launched an official €15m (£11.9m) bid to sign Piotr Zielinski from Udinese this summer.

The Reds are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp looks to stamp his authority on his squad ahead of his first full season in charge at Anfield.

Liverpool have long been linked with a move for midfielder Zielinski, who is currently on loan at Empoli from Udinese this season.

Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira has claimed on Twitter that the Reds have tabled an official offer to close a deal for the midfielder as the summer transfer window draw’s ever nearer.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has scored four goals and made four assists in 33 Serie A games so far this season.

He was linked with a move to Anfield during the January transfer window but a winter move failed to materialise.
