Liverpool are ready to make a bid for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater as Jurgen Klopp prepares for his first full season in charge at Anfield, according to reports.

The Reds are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as Klopp looks to assemble a team capable of challenging for a top-four finish in the Premier League next season.

Liverpool have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks as the summer transfer window draws every nearer.

Now, the Daily Mirror is reporting that the Merseyside outfit are weighing up a £14m bid for Premier League champion Drinkwater.

The same story goes on to say that Drinkwater has impressed Liverpool boss Klopp with his performances this season.
