Liverpool want to reunite Roberto Firmino with Hoffenheim team-mate – report
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Hoffenheim winger Kevin Volland, according to reports in Germany
Jurgen Klopp wants to reunite Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino with his Hoffenheim team-mate Kevin Volland, according to RNZ.
The Brazil international has been a big hit at Anfield this season after Firmino moved to Liverpool in a £29m deal from Hoffenheim last summer.
The 24-year-old has scored nine goals and has made eight assists in the Premier League, while the playmaker has helped the Reds reach the Europa League semi-finals.
And Klopp, who was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’s successor in October, is keen to reunite Firmino with Hoffenheim winger Volland in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old has been the Bundesliga club’s standout player in an otherwise difficult 2015/16 season.
Volland has scored eight goals and has made seven assists in 31 Bundesliga appearances so far this term.
Liverpool will host Villarreal in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday night after a 1-0 defeat in Spain last week.
