Liverpool set to beat Chelsea to £30m Serie A midfielder – report
Liverpool are thought to be keen on Roma midfielder and Chelsea target Miralem Pjanic
Liverpool are thought to be leading the race to sign Chelsea target Miralem Pjanic this summer, according to Daily Express.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has been heavily linked with a switch to the west London club ahead of Antonio Conte’s arrival at Stamford Bridge following Euro 2016 this summer.
Pjanic was previously linked with a move to Liverpool last summer after ex-manager Brendan Rodgers was photographed in Rome ahead of a reported move for the Bosnian playmaker.
According to Daily Express, Liverpool are keen on the £30m-rated playmaker as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his midfield options ahead of his first full season in charge at Anfield.
Serie A champions Juventus are also thought to be interested in the 26-year-old midfielder as Roma prepare to keep some of their big-name stars amid interest from the Premier League.
Pjanic scored 10 goals and made 12 assists in 33 Serie A games, although his disciplinary record could be a concern after picking up 10 cautions in the 2015/16 season.
