Liverpool set to complete £11.6m deal for Poland star – report

Liverpool are nearing a deal to sign Empoli midfielder Pitro Zielinski, according to Il Messaggero

Liverpool are nearing the completion of an £11.6m deal to sign Empoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski, according to Il Messaggero.

The Poland international has been regularly linked with the 18-time English champions since the Premier League season came to an end earlier this month.

The Reds were thought to be nearing an £11.6m deal to sign the Empoli midfielder before Liverpool were reported to have cooled their interest following speculation suggesting that Jurgen Klopp would prefer to sign Borussia Monchengladbach attacking midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud.

However, Italian media outlet Il Messaggero are claiming that Liverpool’s deal to sign the on-loan Udinese midfielder is back on as the Reds reportedly near their second signing of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool signed Germany goalkeeper Loris Karius earlier this week after a £4.7m transfer was finalised from Bundesliga side Mainz.
