Liverpool suffer huge blow as £20m forward performs Bayern u-turn – report

Mario Gotze is ready to commit to Bayern Munich despite Liverpool interest, according to a report in Germany

Mario Gotze is ready to commit to Bayern Munich under new manager Carlo Ancelotti despite being linked with a move to Liverpool, according to reports in Germany.

The 23-year-old was thought to be on the brink of a move to the Reds at the weekend after Liverpool edged closer to completing a £22m deal for the World Cup winner.

Gotze, who has been told to leave Bayern by his Germany manager Joachim Low and club legend Franz Beckenbaeur, played under current Reds boss Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund.

According to a report in Bild, the Germany playmaker has had a remarkable change of heart and has decided to stay and fight for his Bayern place under new manager, Ancelotti.

Liverpool are looking to bolster their attacking options after losing 1-0 to Sevilla in the Europa League final earlier this month.
