Liverpool target Lorient left-back as Albero Moreno replacement – report

Liverpool are one of four clubs looking to sign Lorient left-back Raphael Guerreiro, according to Daily Mirror

Liverpool are set to target Lorient left-back Raphael Guerreiro as a replacement for Alberto Moreno, according to a report in Daily Mirror.

The Spain international was made the scapegoat for Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat by reigning champions Sevilla in the Europa League final.

Guerreiro has been attracting interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs following another impressive season for Ligue 1 side Lorient.

Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund are thought to be keen on the 22-year-old full-back as Jurgen Klopp’s former employers look to get one over their club legend.

According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool are one of four clubs who have made enquiries over the Lorient full-back ahead of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League table after a disappointing season for the Merseyside outfit.

The Reds were without England Under-21 international Joe Gomez for most of the season after the left-back suffered a serious knee injury.
