Liverpool’s move for £11.6m Poland midfielder in doubt, says agent
Piotr Zielinksi's proposed move to Liverpool appears in doubt, according to midfielder's agent
Piotr Zielinksi’s touted £11.6m move to Liverpool is in doubt, according to the Udinese midfiedler’s agent.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his midfield options ahead of the summer transfer window.
Zielinksi, who is a full Poland international, has impressed for Empoli during a two-year loan spell at the Serie A club from Udinese.
However, the Reds have been touted with a move to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud in recent days, putting Zielinksi’s move in doubt.
And the Poland international’s agent has questioned whether a move to Liverpool will be completed after Bartlomiej Bolek confirmed the move is “at risk”.
“Is the Liverpool move at risk? Yes, maybe,” Bolek told ForzaRoma.info.
“It’s difficult to say [whether Roma are still interested]. At the moment the lad is totally concentrated on the Euros.”
Liverpool lost 3-1 to reigning champions Sevilla in the Europa League final.
The Reds finished in eighth place in the Premier League table after a disappointing end to the season for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
