Man United face Juventus competition to sign £50m Colombia star – report
Man United will face competition from Juventus for James Rodriguez's signature, according to Football Italia
Manchester United are set to face competition from Juventus to sign want-away Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez this summer, according to Football Italia.
The Red Devils were thought to be among a host of top European clubs monitoring Rodriguez’s situation at The Bernabeu after another disappointing season under first Rafael Benitez and current manager Zinedine Zidane.
The 24-year-old Colombia playmaker, who moved to Real Madrid in a huge deal from Monaco following the 2014 World Cup, scored seven goals and made eight assists in 26 La Liga games for Los Blancos this term.
According to Football Italia, Juventus are expected to meet Madrid following their Champions League final against Atletico Madrid on 28 May to resolve the futures of Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata.
United could also face additional competition from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain for the 24-year-old playmaker’s signature ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils will face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
