Man United ready to rival Arsenal for £39.4m striker – report

Manchester United want to sign Arsenal target Alvaro Morata, according to Tuttosport

Manchester United are ready to launch an offer for Arsenal target Alvaro Morata in the summer transfer window, according to Tuttosport.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been linked with a move for the former Real Madrid striker as the 65-year-old Frenchman looks to identify a replacement for Danny Welbeck after the striker was ruled out for nine months.

Morata has been linked with a return to Los Blancos in recent days after scoring seven goals in 29 Serie A appearances for Italian champions Juventus under Massimiliano Allegri this season.

According to Tuttosport, United are interested in signing the striker in a £39.4m deal from Juventus after relying on teenager Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial for most of the season.

United will face Bournemouth in their final Premier League game of the season at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
