Man United receive transfer boost after Brazil defender’s agent refuses to rule out move
Manchester United are handed a boost in their pursuit of Thiago Silva after his agent's latest comments
Thiago Silva’s agent has opened up the possibility a summer move to Manchester United after he failed to rule out a transfer to Old Trafford this summer.
The Brazil international has been a key part of Paris Saint-Germain’s dominance of Ligue 1 over the past three years following his move to the French capital from Serie A side AC Milan in 2012.
The 31-year-old has won four Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de la Ligues and the Coupe de France during his spell at Parc des Princes.
Silva’s team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic is being heavily linked with a move to the 20-time English champions after the appointment of Jose Mourinho as their new manager.
The Brazilian’s agent Paulo Tonietto didn’t rule out the possibility of a move to United when asked about his client’s future.
“The future of Thiago Silva? He still has a two-year contract at PSG,” Tonietto is quoted as saying by Daily Star.
“Join Jose Mourinho at Manchester United? I have no idea. Not at the moment.”
Silva, who won the Serie A title with Milan, has scored four times in 59 appearances for the Brazil national team.
