Man United to rival Arsenal and launch bid to sign £39.3m Spain striker – report

Manchester United want to sign Alvaro Morata in a £39.3m deal from Juventus this summer, according to TuttoSport

Manchester United are set to make a £39.3m offer for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, according to TuttoSport.

The Spanish striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners in recent days as Arsene Wenger looks to sign cover for Danny Welbeck after the England striker was ruled out for nine months with a knee injury.

The 23-year-old Juventus striker scored seven times in 33 appearances for the Turin side as Massimiliano Allegri’s side won their fourth successive Serie A crown last month.

According to Italian media outlet TuttoSport, the Red Devils are set to launch a £39.3m offer for the Juventus striker in the summer transfer window to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2016/17 season.

However, the 20-time English champions could face tough competition from La Liga giants Real Madrid after recent reports suggested that Los Blancos could activate their £23.6m buyback clause at the end of the season.
