Manchester United are ready to meet Valencia’s asking price of £30m for Andre Gomes this summer, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho is believed to be on the lookout for new signings after signing a three-year contract to become Manchester United’s new manager on Friday.

The Portuguese coach is understood to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements as he looks to transform his side into title contenders next season.

Gomes has been touted as a possible target for the Red Devils, and the Daily Star is now reporting that Mourinho is interested in signing the 22-year-old midfielder.

The same story goes on to say that Valencia value Gomes at around £30m but that only Juventus have submitted a bid so far this summer.

The Italian champions are said to have offered £22.8m plus £15.2m in add-ons but Valencia rejected their offer.
