Arsene Wenger is facing an uncertain future amid growing dissent amongst Arsenal supporters after a disappointing Premier League campaign.
Ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho might still be looking for a club, but I don’t think he is right for Arsenal
The Gunners have failed to win any silverware for the first time in three seasons after making premature exits in the Champions League and the FA Cup.
Mourinho hasn’t returned to management since he was sacked in December just months after leading Chelsea to their fourth Premier League title.
The Portuguese has been heavily linked with the Manchester United job but the Red Devils have failed to clarify Louis van Gaal’s future.
And former Republic of Ireland international Lawrenson believes Arsenal are short on options to replace Wenger should the Frenchman decide to end his contract before its expiration in 2017.
“Obviously some of the fans do want a new man in charge but I am not sure who that would be,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.
“Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti would all have been obvious candidates, but are all now unavailable at Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich respectively.

Arsenal are in third place in the Premier League table and will host Aston Villa in the final game of the season at The Emirates.
