Michael Owen predicts outcome of Newcastle v Tottenham

Michael Owen is tipping Newcastle and Tottenham to play out a 1-1 draw

Michael Owen believes Tottenham Hotspur will draw with Newcastle United on Sunday and secure second place in the Premier League table.

The Magpies were condemned to the Championship on Wednesday night after Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland side were 3-0 winners against rudderless Everton at the Stadium of Light to secure their Premier League safety.

That results means Rafael Benitez’s side only have pride to play for when Newcastle host second-placed Tottenham at St James’s Park on Sunday afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have plenty of incentive to give 100 per cent, with Spurs looking to finish above their north London rivals Arsenal for the first time in Premier League history.

Former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Owen reckons Pochettino’s side will do just enough to secure second place in the Premier League.

“I think they will draw this game 1-1 and hold on to second on goals difference,” Owen told Colossus Bets.
